Challenge

Our goal was to help drive an innovative startup in sustainable consumer products in its growth journey, with the specific objectives of:

  • Polishing the logistic process and identifying opportunities for improvement,

  • Organic growth and expansion of sales and market share with a focus on customer targeting,

  • Maximization of profits.

Our Solution

We approached the task with three semi-concurrent modules:

  • Perform competitor analysis, specifically geared towards mitigating geographical barriers to expansion and barriers to purchase,

  • Perform market analysis and draft overall growth trajectory,

  • Create a profit maximizing price strategy.

Because this startup was heavily centered in one geographical region, and had established relations with specific organizations in this location, we approached the matter of market analysis by surveying the attitude of these organizations, target organizations, and individuals towards sustainable packaging. Compiling this data with a deep dive of potential distribution channels, marketing tools, and several different pricing models, we were able to create growth strategies to meet the objectives of the company.

Outcome

At the end of our ten week engagement schedule, we were able to conclusively offer strategies for effective marketing campaigns, customer targeting through partnership with external organizations, and an improved pricing model based on customer perceptions. Logistically, we were able to renovate the production cycle and supply chain of the startup by offering connection with a potential packaging partner with similar sustainability objectives, and kickstarted prototyping for this startup’s product packaging. Finally, our team produced a set of comprehensive navigation tools for marketing and growth through the COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 world.
