Consulting Analyst Application

Spring 2026 Consulting Analyst Application

Application Process

The analyst selection process

Applications for new members open at the beginning of each semester. It is important that you attend the informational meetings held during that time period, so that you may better understand our selection process. Our standard process consists of:

  1. A brief written application. In this application, you will submit your resume and let our team know who you are by responding to a few questions. Don’t be afraid to show off.

  2. A 1-hour group interview. Based on your written application, you may be invited to participate in a first-round group case interview. In this interview, you will be placed with a team of 3-4 other applicants with whom you will spend one hour analyzing a case and delivering actionable recommendations. The group interview is a trial of your ability to work with a team and think critically about challenges. You may want to explore business problem-solving in depth, and you should be prepared to formally communicate your thought processes to your interviewers.

  3. A 45-minute individual interview. Based on your successful first-round interview performance, you may continue to a second-round individual behavioral interview, which will allow us to get a feel for who you are while assessing your experiences, ability to learn, and willingness to perform. Be ready to showcase your personality, your academic interests, and professional history. Additionally, knowledge on how to approach archetypal business problems will be helpful - specific details on how to prepare will be provided during our information sessions.

Workshops

Weekly workshops are held throughout each semester and are led by experienced Executive Board members, with a focus on maximizing the professionalism of every member. These workshops cover anything from resume writing to cold emailing, and from slide creation to public speaking. Regular workshops on casing and presentation skills are also given in order to maintain the high quality of engagements with clientele throughout our 10 week engagement process.

Mentorship

Our 10-week-long mentorship program matches each new member to a senior team leader whose career, internship, and professional experiences matches their personal interests and goals. Through this mentorship program, professional guidance and connections are offered to new members on a one-on-one basis, maximizing the opportunity for these students to learn more about the industry of their choice, as well as their own unique skill set and aspirations.

Through football season, late-night cookouts, and long windy hikes, we’ve got you covered. RISE hosts almost weekly member socials, as well as a retreat each semester for all members.
